Hey Guys! Long time no speak. I've been quite busy lately, University and stuff. Besides this week is gonna be very difficult cause it's my test week, I'm gonna have tests all week long (only 2 tomorrow).
I've had such a long and difficult day today, I feel exhausted and betrayed. I'll tell you why. First of all I had a testwork today which I've done quite good (I think!), then I went to bank, I needed some money in my card to pay for my subscription (it was expiring in 5 days).
I've had my DSL internet for quite some time now, and it is so much faster than the dial-up one I used to have but nowadays there are these USB internets that are superfast like 7,2 MB (My DSL is only 100KB) so I desided to get one of those and the provider is Orange Telecom.
So me & grandpa went to their office to get one of those USB Modems. Guys you can't imagine what kind of receiption we got. You won't even dream about it in your worst dreams.
First of all there was a long line, so we waited for our turn outside of the office for a very long time (It's now very cold in Armenia, so you can imagine how we felt standing outside for almost an hour). While we waited, there were people that entered without waiting for their turn just because "they knew someone who worked there".
Then when our turn came we entered and had to wait inside for almost as much. And then when our turn came and as I went to the lady who was dealing with internet stuff, three fat bullies came and took my place. Me and grandpa were like wtf???
So this is the dialogue that happened.
Grandpa: Hey it's our turn!
The lady: *smiles shily* You know they are just workers in Orange Telecom...
Grandpa: I don't care, we waited for almost 2 hours and it was our turn.
Bully N1: Let me explain to you, sir...
Bully N2: I'm a worker here and I have a right to come without turns.
Grandpa: I'm going to have a talk with your manager. Where's he? *heads to manager's office*
Security: You can't enter there, and if you want to know it wasn't your turn...
Me: If you want to know, it was OUR turn.
Security: Do you know who these people are? If you don't know who they are, then don't talk.
Grandpa: I couldn't care less who they are, even if it's president. There are rules and they should be obeyed.
Then grandpa tried to enter the manager's office, security stopped him, this lady entered the manager's office fast and manager came. Grandpa told him we were waiting there for a very long time and everything that happened. Manager had a good talk with his workers and suggested us to go to his office and he would work with us.
At last we went to this lady and she started printing all these documents needed. And she gave me a ...phone SIM card witout asking me what I wanted.
Me: What is this?
Her: A cell phone card. Isn't this what you wanted? *In a cold, rude tone*
Me: No I wanted a USB Modem.
Her: But I asked you...
Me: No you should have asked me what I wanted. And I would say Modem, but you started printing all these documents without saying what they were, so I thought that it was for the modem.
So she went to the manager's office, talked to him for some time, then she came back and at last I got my modem.
Then on our way to exit.
Her: You're very rude and ignorant to me.
Me: I'm sorry? How can I be rude to you when we only exchanged two words?
Her: I asked you what you wanted....
Me: You never asked me what I wanted you just randomly gave me a phone card without asking what I wanted. After this receiption we got, I should be the one to say you all were rude to us, but instead you're saying it. I'm sorry if you thought I was rude but I wasn't.
And we came back home. God knows I was heart-scalded. You might think I was really rude, but I wasn't, I wasn't even closer to what you would call rude. She was asking questions and I was answering, nothing else.
I'm so disgusted right now, that I'm not even going to use their internet. In fact, I've decided to take it back tomorrow (I've got 15 days to give it back or I won't be able anymore until 1 year). I'm so tired like I've done some really hard work today.
Anyways the only good thing that happened today was perhaps that I renewed my subscription.
Have a good week.
xx
